The Kiev regional prosecutor’s office has sent to court an indictment against former Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara in the case of premeditated murder (part 1 of article 115 of the Penal Code) of the director of the Inter TV channel Sergei Staritsky.

This was reported on the website of the Attorney General’s Office. The ministry clarified that before shooting the businessman, the former minister hit him with a pistol.

According to the investigation, in February 2020, during a party at his own home in one of the villages of the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district, the former official had a conflict with the guest, which turned into a fight.

The tragedy took place at Kozhara's house in the town of Chaika.

During the fight, the defendant took a pistol and hit the man on the back of the head and then shot him in the head. As a result, the victim died on the spot.

Staritsky's body was found in Kozhara's home on February 21.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, on February 21, at the home of former Foreign Minister Kozhara in the village of Chaika near Kiev, the body of Inter’s board chief, Staritsky, was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Later, photos and videos of the place of death of the media manager appeared on the network. In addition, prosecutors revealed the details of the tragedy.
