The Cabinet of Ministers has developed a concept for the economic development of Donbass
For the minimal restoration of Donbass, $ 20 billion will be needed. The only way out of the government is to attract investors.
The government approved the concept of economic development of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which will form the basis of the corresponding strategy. This was announced on Wednesday, December 23, by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Telegram.
He noted that the Donbass economic development concept is the basis for the economic restoration of the territories.
“These territories require additional incentives that will create an attractive platform to attract investment. In particular, we are talking about development in the direction of the real sector of the economy, industrialization, development of critical infrastructure and logistics, etc.,” Shmygal wrote.
The implementation of the concept must be prepared within six months by the Ministry of Reintegration in conjunction with the central and local authorities.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Aleksey Reznikov told a cabinet meeting of ministers that $ 20 billion would be needed for the minimal restoration of Donbass.
“It is already clear that the numbers are astronomical and it is impossible to solve these problems at the expense of the budget, money from creditors and donors,” Reznikov said, adding that the only way out he sees is to attract investors.
We will remember, on the eve of Reznikov saying that Ukraine is already working according to plan B on the issue of a peaceful solution to the conflict in the Donbass, which consists of working on the reintegration of CADLO even before Russia withdraws its troops from there.
We will recall that earlier Peskov called Donbass “rejected” by Ukraine. Donbass residents have been living under the conditions of the most severe blockade for several years, the Kremlin spokesman said.
