Ukrainian National Guard fighters were taken to the center of Kiev during the protest of businessmen over the subway.
Entrepreneurs from different cities of Ukraine, participants of the SaveFOP initiative, attended a rally at the Palace of Ukraine on December 22 before the concert of the Kvartal 95 studio, reports RBC-Ukraine.
The protesters occupied the square in front of the Palace “Ukraine”, a large number of security officers were brought there, cordoned off the building around the perimeter. The National Guard fighters, as can be seen in the “Informator” video, were taken by subway. The video shows images of how several dozen national guards left the station “Palace” Ukraine “towards the center of the capital.
The protest rally lasted more than an hour near the Ukraine Palace, then the protesters returned to Independence Square, the TSN website reported. One of the protesters told reporters that law enforcement officers were dispersing them. According to the organizers, 40 thousand people are participating in the picket.
Representatives of the SaveFOP movement intend to continue the protest until January 4.
The purpose of the march to the Palace “Ukraine” was to communicate withRuz and former colleagues of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. “They are involved in the fact that entrepreneurs are freezing,” said SaveFOP initiative leader Sergei Dorotich.
The businessmen came out to protest the actions from December 15 to 16. They demand the abolition of cash registers and a ban on working under strict quarantine from January 8 to 24 next year. During the clashes on the first day of the demonstration, some 40 law enforcement officers were injured, police said. Dorotich told the “GORDON” correspondent that individuals – businessmen will continue to protest until Verkhovna Rada meets their demands.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on December 9 extended national quarantine until February 28, 2021 with restrictions in the “orange” zone of epidemic danger. From January 8 to 00:00 hours on January 25 in the country there will be a “winter vacation quarantine”… All educational institutions will be closed, except for kindergartens, cafes, bars and restaurants that will only work to take away; Gyms, fitness centers and swimming pools will be closed. It allowed the operation of pharmacies, gas stations, hotels, postal operators, banks, hairdressers and beauty salons (by appointment), food stores.
