Zelensky thanks Macron for his help in obtaining vaccines
The head of state thanked the French leader for his willingness to help with the rapid reception of vaccines against the coronavirus.
France is ready to help Ukraine speed up the process of obtaining a coronavirus vaccine. This was announced on Tuesday night, December 22, by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Twitter.
He noted that he discussed this issue with French President Emmanuel Macron. The head of state described France’s disposition as “a gesture of true friendship.”
“Thanks to Macron for his willingness to help accelerate the supply of the COVID-19 vaccine. This is a gesture of true friendship. I appreciate France’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and our peace initiatives,” he wrote.
Details of the conversation between the two presidents have yet to be reported.
Zelenskiy said last week that the COVID vaccine expires in January. Ukraine is not yet included in the list of 92 countries that will receive the vaccine as a priority, the head of state admitted.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health approved the vaccination plan against COVID in Ukraine. We plan to vaccinate 20 million people in one year.
