Yulia Kovaliv stepped down as deputy director of the president’s office. He has held the position since September 2019.
Kovaliv wrote about this on Facebook.
Kovaliv did not reveal the reasons for his decision, saying it was “an incredible experience and a great responsibility at a difficult time for the country.”
“Today I am leaving, leaving the position of deputy director of the Office of the President,” he wrote.
Later, the OP confirmed that Kovaliv had stepped down, noting that she resigned of her own free will.
“Volodymyr Zelenskyy appreciates Yulia Kovaliv’s high professionalism and focus on results, which is why he remains on the head of state’s team for new professional achievements,” said the Office of the President.
As a reminder, today another deputy head of the President’s Office, Oleg Tatarov, temporarily suspended his powers for the duration of the investigation. Previously, the National Anti-Corruption Office announced suspicions of possible participation in acts of corruption.
It was also reported that today the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Yuriy Vitrenko to the position of First Deputy Minister and Acting Minister of Energy. Olga Buslavets was removed from her post.
