The Cabinet of Ministers in an emergency meeting appointed Vadim Melnyk as head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
This was announced on Telegram by the government representative in Verkhovna Rada Vasily Mokan. The decision was made on Monday, December 21.
He specified that a contract with Melnik will be signed for the quarantine period in the country.
“Appointment of Melnik Vadim Ivanovich, the head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine (at the conclusion of a contract on the passage of state service during the quarantine period),” wrote Mocan.
Note that the colonel of the fiscal police Vadim Melnik is 48 years old. In 2014-2016, he was head of the SFS research department. Until 2013, he headed the department of investigation of cases of special relevance, and also worked in the Ministry of Finance and Duties.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, from September 5, 2018 to July 17, 2019, acting. the head of the SFS was Alexander Vlasov. He resigned of his own free will after the scandal with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
From July 23, 2019 to February 12, 2020, the functions of the head of the tax service were performed by Denis Gutenko, from February 12 to November 25, by Sergey Solodchenko, and from November 25, by Dmitry Sosinovich.
