Demand for Ukrainian workers has grown in the EU
The demand for Ukrainian workers has almost doubled since the beginning of spring. Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic remain the most popular among Ukrainian workers.
In Europe, since the beginning of the pandemic, Ukraine’s demand for labor has grown by 40%. This was reported on the Opendatabot open data platform website.
It should be noted that among Ukrainians, the most popular EU countries for employment are Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic.
Foreign employers more often hire these Ukrainian specialists:
-
in Poland: packers, shippers, seamstresses, drivers, builders;
-
in Germany: caretakers, tilers, plumbers, electricians, packers;
-
in the Czech Republic: maids, welders, electricians, drivers.
Recall that in the first half of 2020, remittances from migrant workers to Ukraine began to fall with the onset of the coronavirus crisis. But in late June, the volume of remittances from abroad began to grow.
And a few weeks earlier it was reported that transfers to Ukraine reached last year’s level.
