Ukroboronprom CEO Yuriy Gusev signed an order to start corporatizing the defense company. It will take several months to prepare for corporatization.
The document was signed during a briefing in Kiev on December 21.
According to him, this order sets in motion the preparation process to reform the defense concern.
“Today I want to sign a historical order for our concern about the beginning of corporatization, about the transformation of concern into participations, effective systems that will open the opportunity to attract financing, new technologies, to introduce a transparent and effective corporate governance system” Gusev said.
Ukroboronprom hopes that during the period of preparation for corporatization, the Verkhovna Rada will pass bill No. 3822 “On the details of reforming enterprises of the military-industrial complex.”
We will recall, previously RBC-Ukraine wrote that Ukroboronprom will cease to exist in 2021. New holding companies will be created instead of worry.
It was also reported that the government agreed to the privatization of 18 Ukroboronprom companies. They were transferred to the State Property Fund.
