Ukroboronprom started corporatization

The concern will turn into holdings to attract financing and new technologies, as well as to introduce a transparent management system, Gusev said.

The CEO of Ukroboronprom, Yuriy Gusev, launched the corporatization of the company’s companies. He signed the corresponding order at a Ukroboronprom press conference: the results of 2020 and plans for 2021 on Monday, December 21.

“Today I want to sign a historical order for our concern about corporatization, about transforming concern into participations, into effective systems that will open opportunities to attract financing and to attract new technologies and to introduce a transparent and effective corporate governance system”, said Gusev …

According to him, the order precedes the consideration in the Rada of a bill on the particularities of the reform of companies of the state-owned military-industrial complex, which will become the basis for the transformation and reform of the company.

“With this order, we are launching preparations, it will last for several months, during which we hope that the bill will be approved, which has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada No. 3822. And, thus, the military-industrial complex represented by Ukroboronprom will receive a long-awaited reform ”. – Gusev summed up.

Let us remind you that previously several installations of Ukroboronprom were transferred to the SPF. The Cabinet of Ministers handed over the objects for the purpose of further privatization. Among others, the Scientific Research Institute of the Kvant State Enterprise and the Sudmash plant were transferred to the SPF.

The defense companies that will be put up for sale were also named. The State Assets Fund will put 16 defense companies and two public limited companies up for sale.
