Gladkovsky Jr. was informed about the suspicion of a millionth bribery

Under a contract alone, the suspect received 950,000 UAH, and this is not the only case: the rest of the events are now being investigated.

NABU and SAP reported on the suspicion of receiving 950 thousand hryvnia from a bribe to a person who influenced the decision-making by the CEO of the state company Ukrspetsexport. On Monday, December 21, the NABU press service reported.

However, the name of the suspect has not been released, a former investigative journalist and now a member of the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia, Sergei Leshchenko, citing inside information, reports that this is the son of the former first deputy secretary of the Security Council and National Defense Oleg Gladkovsky – Igor Gladkovsky.

The investigation established that Gladkovsky, together with various individuals in 2015-2017, implemented a corruption scheme for the supply of goods of unknown origin to companies of the Ukroboronprom Group of Companies using Optimumspetsdetal LLC and other companies.

Thanks to the suspect’s efforts, Optimumspetsdetal received preferences when concluding contracts and agreements with the Ukroboronprom companies. For this, he received bribes in the amount of 50% of the illegal profits of the participants in the scheme.

According to NABU, Gladkovsky received 950 thousand hryvnia only under a contract, and this is not the only case: the rest of the facts are now being investigated.

It is noted that the investigation of these events has been carried out by detectives since November 2019, when the investigation was assigned to NABU.

Overall, the investigation identified eight participants in the corruption scheme implemented with the participation of Optimumspecdetal. Two of them have already been convicted, three are in the dock. Three more remain suspects.

Furthermore, as part of the investigation, it was established that during the period of the plan, Ukroboronprom received goods worth about 165 million UAH, while the budget received no more than 49 million UAH.

Earlier it was reported that the participants in the embezzlement scheme in the defense complex are former undersecretary of the National Defense and Security Council Oleg Gladkovsky, his son Igor with a friend and the director of Ukroboronprom Pavel Bukin.
