In Odessa, during the opening of a New Year tree near the town hall on Dumskaya Square, a Russian song was lit.
The corresponding video was published by the “Dumskaya” edition on the YouTube channel. Odessa’s main tree and New Years town opened on Saturday, December 19 (scroll to the bottom to see the video).
As the newspaper notes, during the ceremonial part of the event, the Odessa municipal marching band named after Salik performed in front of the audience, whose musicians were dressed as Santa Claus.
After the official part, a Russian chanson sounded from the speakers in the square.
We add that the opening of the Christmas tree was scheduled to coincide with Saint Nicholas Day. The event attracted at least a hundred spectators, many with children. Most of them, as seen in the posted videos, do not have protective masks.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, during the lighting of the country’s main Christmas tree on Sophia Square in Kiev on December 19, there was a small fire: due to fireworks, the decorations near the festive tree caught fire.
