The European Orchestra of the US Air Force congratulated Ukrainians on the upcoming New Year holidays, singing the legendary Christmas song “Shchedryk”.

The video was posted by the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine on Facebook on Saturday, December 19. The video itself was titled “Shchedryk as you haven’t heard”. (scroll to the bottom to see the video).

In the video caption, the military wished Ukraine “peace and joy this holiday season” on behalf of the United States Air Force in Europe and Africa.

The conductor of the orchestra, Colonel Christina Moore Urrutia, congratulated the Ukrainians for the upcoming New Year and Merry Christmas. He stressed that “Shchedryk” is well known in the United States – the adapted song “Carol of the Bells” is one of the most beloved by Americans.

“Ukraine has no better partner than the United States, which supports its efforts to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country,” he said.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife visited the festive town “Nikolai Takes Friends”, which will operate near the OP during the New Year holidays. The artists, who had gathered in the square near the OP, were congratulated on the upcoming holidays by performing “Shchedryk”.
