In Ukraine, the indexation of pensions will take place in 2021 due to the increase in the minimum wage. The rules for recalculating payments will not be changed.
Deputy Minister of Social Policy Vitaliy Muzychenko spoke about this on the air of “Ukraine24”. We are talking about the so-called “modernization” of pensions by about 11%. At the same time, the official was unable to name a clear time frame for the recalculation. If before it was held in March, last year he was detained for several months due to lack of funds.
“Starting today, indexing is expected to proceed as announced. If we talk about budget and funds, we are talking about the fact that the 2020 budget was carried out for the most part with a minimum salary of 4,723 UAH, which we had for most of the year. , now we have 5 thousand hryvnyas, there will be 6 thousand and from December 6 500 “, – he said.
True, at the same time, Muzychenko did not mention that in the first version of the draft budget, the increase in the minimum wage should have taken place in July. In addition, the budget of the Pension Fund was 8.5 billion UAH more. Due to the “cut” and exemption of individual entrepreneurs’ social contributions, indexation may be postponed from March to a later month.
For example, with a pension of 3.5 thousand hryvnias, the amount of the increase can be about 385 hryvnias. If the decision is postponed from March, for example, to December, the Ukrainians will lose 3.4 thousand UAH.
