In Bucha, Kiev region, police officers arrested a criminal group of thieves, who seized more than 2 million hryvnia during the attack.

Law enforcement officials said the group’s criminal activities stopped after five minutes.
According to the police chief of the Zhytomyr region, Yuriy Oleinik, the events occurred on Thursday, December 17, at around 7:00 p.m., in the town. Bucha. In one of the streets, the attackers, using threats and physical force, took a bag of money from a man as he carried it from the car to his room.
The attackers immediately got into the car and tried to escape, but were stopped by soldiers from the police cordon of the Zhytomyr region.
«Four of the attackers were arrested at the scene of the incident, the fifth accomplice who tried to escape, the police pursued him and also detained him, ”said Oleinik.
According to him, the attackers are residents of the Kiev region, only one is the oldest resident of Zhytomyr, 50 years old. Others are between 31 and 48 years old. All of them have already been processed before.
The suspects were arrested in accordance with art. 208 (Detention by an authorized official). Investigation actions continue within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under art. Part 3, Part 4 of art. 187 (theft), part 1 of art. 14 (Preparation for a crime) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
