Center-field player for Shakhtar and Ukraine Victor Kovalenko is in the final stage of the negotiation process with Atalanta of the Italian Serie A.
It is reported that the terms of the soccer player’s contract with the Bergamo club have actually been agreed. This will be a four-year contract and it is not yet known exactly when Victor will move to the new club, in January or in the summer.
It is noted that the Shakhtar tried several times to reach an agreement with Kovalenko on a new contract, but each time he told the Pitmen that he had reached a preliminary agreement with Atalanta.
Most likely, Shakhtar will not let Kovalenko go in January and do not want to negotiate compensation with Atalanta, so Viktor will move to Italy in early July, when his contract with the Pitmen expires.
