President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Alexander Starukh as head of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration. This was reported on the website of the head of state on Friday, December 18.

It is indicated that today Zelensky signed the corresponding decree No. 577/2020.

Alexander Starukh was born in 1973. Graduated from Zaporizhzhya State University in 1995. He has an academic title of candidate for historical sciences. He held various positions in scientific and governmental institutions. He was awarded the Order of Merit, grade III. At the same time, Starukh was already the head of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration in 2008-2010. For the past five years, the politician was a deputy of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Council and led the faction in Batkivshchyna.

We recall, on December 16 it became known that the government agreed to the appointment of new heads of the regional state administrations of Zaporizhzhya and Ivano-Frankivsk. Then the name of the old woman was called as a candidate for the post of governor of the Zaporozhye region.

We will recall, on November 27, that President Volodymyr Zelensky replaced the heads of two regions: Odessa and Kharkov. They were Sergey Grinevetsky and Aina Timchuk.
