Russia has begun preparations for the deployment of its nuclear weapons in temporarily occupied Crimea. This step poses a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to its partner states.
This was announced by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Andriy Taran, speaking with Turkish journalists, reports the press service of the Defense Ministry. He noted that Turkey, as a particular maritime power, should be particularly concerned about aggressive activities by the Russian Federation.
“Russia’s preparation for the deployment of nuclear weapons in Crimea poses a serious threat to all of Europe and the civilized world. The attempt by the Russian Federation to establish dominance in the Black Sea basin is a great threat to the economies of Ukraine, Turkey and other European countries, “Taran said.
In addition, it focused on the actions of the aggressor country aimed at blocking the Kerch Strait for international shipments.
Another proof of Russia’s hostility, according to the Defense Minister, is the use of electronic warfare equipment in the Black Sea, that lead to breakdowns in the navigation systems of aircraft and ships in this area.
