In the Zaporizhzhya regional council, the election of the president took place. The new head of the regional council was Vitaly Tolochek, who had previously left the Servant of the People faction. This was reported by Ukrinform.
It is observed that 44 MPs from four factions voted for Tolochek: OPZZH, “For the future”, “European Solidarity” and “Ze faction”. He was nominated by the Ze faction and became the only candidate.
The secret ballot was carried out in the session hall: the deputies organized a booth and made a ballot box.
At the initiative of a third of the body of deputies, an extraordinary session was called, during which four representatives of the “Servant of the People” announced their withdrawal from the faction and the creation of a new one, the “Ze faction.”
The results of the secret ballot on December 15 were recognized by 44 deputies as illegitimate and they decided to elect the president of the regional council. The last elected Vitaly Bogovin and the deputies of the Opposition Bloc, Batkivshchyna, Servant of the People and Unity have announced an attempt to seize power.
Recall that in Zaporozhye, for a long time, the deputies could not elect the president of the regional council, since some of them were not allowed to enter the session hall by unknown persons who presented themselves as war veterans in the Donbass.
