During the last day, 12,047 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Ukraine. At the same time, 12,939 patients recovered.
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov announced it on Facebook.
Among yesterday’s cases, COVID-19 was confirmed in 594 children and 535 health workers. 2,997 patients were hospitalized.
Most of the infections were detected in the Kiev (1512), Odessa (1064), Zaporozhye (858), Kiev (626) and Chernigov (587) regions.
In total, 65,561 coronavirus tests were carried out yesterday. Of these, 41,733 by PCR and 23,828 by ELISA.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 931,751 people have been infected in Ukraine, 15,996 (+252) have died, 548,356 have recovered. 383 395 patients remain active patients.
We will remember, in Ukraine, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 2 thousand people have fallen ill again.
It was also reported that the Ministry of Health will test a model to request the coronavirus vaccine in the elderly.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote that in one week the dynamics of the incidence of COVID-19 in the country decreased by more than 11%.
