The people’s deputy of the People’s Servant, Alexander Kachura, spoke about the results of the faction meeting and personnel decisions.

He wrote on his Telegram channel that the faction heard from four candidates for ministerial posts:

  • First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy of Ukraine – Yuriy Vitrenko;
  • Minister of Education and Science, Sergei Shkarlet;
  • Minister of Agrarian Policy, Roman Leschenko;
  • Minister of Veterans Affairs – Yulia Laputin.

The proposed profile committee for the post of Minister of Veterans Affairs Alexander Porkhun – Hero of Ukraine, First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Veterans.

«In general, there were no objections to almost all the candidates, with the exception of the Ministry of the Environment. (representatives of the relevant committee and several majority members objected), ”said Kachura.

According to him, the deputies still have a signal vote in the party chat. The resignations of the Minister of Veterans Affairs and the Minister of the Environment will likely be considered on Friday, December 18.

At a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, December 15, President Dmitry Razumkov said that ecology ministers Roman Abramovsky and veteran minister Sergei Bessarab had written resignation letters.

An NV source in the SN faction leadership said Roman Opimakh, the current head of the State Geology and Subsurface Service, is running for the post of Minister of Ecology, and Roman Leshchenko, who now heads the State Geodesy Service, Cartography and Cadastre, may be headed by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy.

Former Naftogaz CEO Yuriy Vitrenko is applying for the post of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy. They will try to appoint Sergei Shkarlet as Minister of Education, he is now in office.

SBU Major General Yulia Laputina can be appointed head of the Veterans Ministry.
