The Ministry of Finance sold 51 billion government bonds

Nine government bond issues were sold at the auctions: seven in hryvnia, one in euros and one more in dollars.

The Ministry of Finance sold 51.44 billion hryvnia of government bonds on the domestic loan market, a record volume in history. This was reported by the press service of the department on Tuesday, December 15.

Specifically, nine government bond issues were offered in the auctions: seven in national currency, one in euros and one in dollars.

From the sale of hryvnia bonds attracted 42.1 billion hryvnia. The schedule and weighted average rates of return were as follows:

  • 3 months at a rate of 10%;

  • 6 months at a rate of 10.5%;

  • 7 months at a rate of 10.75%;

  • 1 year at a rate of 11.56%;

  • 1.5 years at a rate of 11.7%;

  • 3 years at a rate of 11.98%;

  • 5 years at a rate of 12.18%.

At the same time, $ 266 million was raised from the sale of the annual dollar issue at a weighted average rate of 3.8%.

Finally, the sale of the annual euro issue has raised 56.7 million euros at a rate of 2.5%.

Remember that Ukraine expects $ 170 million from the World Bank by the end of the year. The World Bank has recently approved the allocation of a loan to Ukraine in the amount of $ 300 million, part of which is expected to be received by the end of the year.

It was also reported that the Ministry of Finance explained why the increase in the minimum wage was postponed. Raising the minimum wage to 6,500 UAH would trigger inflation, the government calculated.
