The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced a list of quarantine restrictions that will operate from December 19, 2020 throughout Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The new restrictions prohibit:

  • Realization of massive events in educational institutions. (performances, celebrations, concerts) with the participation of children from more than one group / class and in the presence of visitors.
  • Holding of festive events, banquets, master classes and public events in entertainment and catering establishments.
  • Reception of visitors in museums, exhibitions, galleries etc.if there is more than one person in the corridors for every 10 m2. meters.
  • Catering work from 23:00 to 7:00 (except home and take away orders). Settlement transactions end after 22:00. On the night from 31.12 to 01.01, the work of restaurants and cafes will be allowed until 01:00.
  • Religious events: indoors, subject to the presence of more than one person per 5 m2. meters; outdoors, as long as a distance of 1.5 meters is not observed between those present.

  • Unauthorized departure from the place of isolation or observation.
  • Carrying out massive cultural activities (incl. concerts), sporting, social, advertising and other events in which more than 20 people participate and do not maintain a distance of 1.5 m between participants (exception: official and professional sporting events without spectators, examinations for notaries and necessary measures to ensure the functioning of the authorities).
  • Work of cinemas and cultural institutions with more than 50% of seats in a room.
  • Passenger transport carries more passengers than the number of seats (except the subway).
  • Realization of discos, nightclubs and catering establishments 3 leisure entities.
  • Accommodation in catering establishments for more than 4 adults at the table and when the distance between the tables is less than 2 meters.
  • The work of commercial entities in which employees do not have masks, and the marks are not applied to a distance between clients of 1.5 meters, and visitors do not have properly dressed personal protective equipment.
  • Crossing the border to foreigners without an insurance policy (with some exceptions.
  • Accommodation institutions (except hotels, rehabilitation centers for people with disabilities, spas).
  • Visits to educational institutions by groups of more than 20 people, except institutions of preschool, general secondary, extracurricular and specialized artistic education.
  • Visiting educational institutions in the event that more than 50% of the students and staff of an educational institution are in self-isolation.
  • Carrying out planned hospitalization measures (except palliative care, obstetrics, newborns, obstetrics, treatment of cancer patients, highly specialized (tertiary) medical care and other emergency medical care).
  • Gyms and fitness centers work if there is more than one person for every 20 square meters.
  • Visiting points (places) of temporary detention of persons, points of temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons, as well as accommodation points for refugees.
  • Crossing the checkpoint in the territories temporarily occupied by CADLO and Crimea by foreigners without an insurance policy. (with some exceptions).
  • Visits by unauthorized persons to social security institutions where certain categories of citizens are found (elderly people, war veterans, people with disabilities, mental disorders, etc.).

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to tighten the quarantine in Ukraine from January 8 to 24 inclusive.

During the strict quarantine period, work will be prohibited:

  • cafes, restaurants and bars (except for delivery and takeout);
  • non-food stores;
  • cinemas, fitness clubs, gyms, theaters, and shopping and entertainment centers;
  • educational institutions, except kindergartens;
  • Massive events.
