In occupied Crimea, they sold “Massandra”, the largest winery on the peninsula. The company’s shares were acquired by a subsidiary of Rossiya Bank for almost $ 73 million.

It is reported that “Massandra” was bought by LLC “South Project”. At the auction, the starting price was 5.3 billion rubles, as a result, the winery was sold for 5.327 billion rubles, or almost $ 73 million.
Note that in December 2017, the same company bought the Crimean sparkling wine factory Novy Svet.
The Massandra association includes nine primary and secondary winemaking factories, as well as three independent factories. In 1988, it was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the greatest treasure of wines in terms of abundance and uniqueness. “Massandra” is one of the largest companies in Ukraine and Europe for growing grapes and producing high quality vintage wines.
In the spring of 2020, Massandra in occupied Crimea was estimated at less than $ 10 million.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine asked foreign companies not to participate in the privatization of the Crimean “Massandra” after it became known that the Austrian office was involved in the construction of an opera house in occupied Sevastopol .
