“I hope that we can introduce the vaccine very quickly, significantly reducing the number of hospitalizations,” said the director of BioNTech.

Pfizer and BioNTech have committed to delivering 1.3 billion doses of vaccines to countries around the world by the end of next year. Shahin says that companies “could deliver even more doses in 2021,” despite the earlier material shortage.
