More than 26,000 protesters took to the streets of France in cities such as Montpellier, Strasbourg, Dijon, Tours and Lyon.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said serious clashes and pogroms were prevented during the demonstrations, including car fires and shop window collapses.
“The force stayed with the law. Several hundred thugs came to commit violent acts. The strategy of resilience against robberies – 142 arrests and observing the procession – helped prevent them,” he wrote in Twitter.
This is the fourth Saturday in a row that French citizens have protested controversial bills. More than 52 thousand people took to the streets of the big cities last weekend.
Note that the “Global Security” law provides for the punishment for spreading an image of the face of a policeman or gendarme with “the purpose of causing harm to their physical or mental integrity.”
