Deaths from coronavirus have risen 60% in the last six weeks, said the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus.

The WHO chief urged not to relax during the Christmas season.

“The celebration can turn into a duel very quickly if we don’t take the proper precautions,” he said.

At the same time, 702,513 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected per day. Ukraine remains in ninth place in the world anti-rating.
