The United States Senate has endorsed the Fiscal Defense Budget Bill 2021. The bill includes military assistance to Ukraine and extended sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 project.

The defense budget for 2021 has the support of 75 members of the Senate.
Previously, the House of Representatives of the United States Congress approved the provision of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 250 million dollars as part of the United States military budget for fiscal year 2021.
Military assistance to Ukraine is provided as part of the Security Assistance Initiative, which will go towards supporting and assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, the bill includes provisions for more severe penalties against the Russian Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream pipeline projects.
