Caviar cans by the burned bus
UAZ found upright in an anti-smuggling ditch. Having failed at the border, the attackers set it on fire.
On the border with Russia, Ukrainian border guards found a burned UAZ trapped in an anti-smuggling ditch. Caviar remains were found in the hut, which the smugglers were probably trying to transport to Ukraine. This was reported on Friday, December 11, by the press service of the State Border Service.
It should be noted that the minibus was unable to overcome the engineering hurdle of the Ukrainian border guards. Among other elements of the border infrastructure, this segment is equipped with a so-called anti-smuggling moat, which detained the intruder.
According to the border guards, the vehicle, the front of which was raised above the moat in an almost vertical position, attempted to breach the border in the Volchansk Border Service Department section of the Kharkov Detachment.
“During the inspection of the vehicle, traces of red caviar were found on it and nearby, there was a container of black caviar. There were no people in the UAZ or next door. The signs of burning of the minibus indicated the possibility that it was set on fire on purpose, possibly to hide the traces of illegal activities, “he said in the State Border Guard Service.
The press service noted that no traces of the smugglers’ activities on the Ukrainian side were found.
It is also reported that the tracks of the minibus clearly indicated that it was moving from the direction of Russia, which was also recognized by representatives of the FSB border service of the Russian Federation.
We recall that a month earlier a truck with caviar smuggled from Russia got stuck in the Sumy region. When an attempt was made to stop the car, it got stuck off the road and its driver fled to Russia on foot, leaving a million cargo.
And in September, border guards stopped the smuggling of 600 kg of red caviar. Two cars carrying a cargo of 2 million hryvnia illegally crossed the border from the territory of Russia.
