The mayor of Odessa received a positive coronavirus test. Trukhanov goes into self-isolation, but will work by phone.

Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov passed a positive test for coronavirus infection. The mayor wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“I received a positive test for COVID-19. In this regard, I am going to isolate myself, until I recover and receive a negative result,” Trukhanov said.

He added that he was in good health and was going to regulate the work of the municipal services by telephone.

Trukhanov urged Odessans to wear masks, limit contacts and maintain social distance.
