The diplomat recalled that this is the first tranche of emergency macro-financial assistance, which “confirms the solidarity of the EU with Ukraine and our constant and close cooperation.”
“I wish the Ukrainian government in 2021 to fulfill its reform program to improve living standards, continue the fight against corruption and bring Ukraine closer to the EU,” summed up the EC Vice President.
In turn, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the EU for providing macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal also expressed his gratitude to the European Commission.
