All phones left without a new case are made by Redmi. These are the basic devices of the sixth and seventh series, as well as the Y3 and 6A models (see note at the bottom of the screenshot).

The reasons given by the MIUI developers for refusing to install the twelfth version of the firmware are “compatibility and performance problems”, without specifying the essence of the difficulties.

The experts interviewed by Gizmochina explain the rejection of the update as follows:

– For those who do not know: different versions of the shell are supplied to “Xiaomi”, “Redmi” and “Poco” smartphones, depending on the device models. Not all devices support the features installed in the firmware. Some are also subject to regional availability. Since MIUI is a heavy Android shell, like any other Chinese mobile UI, it requires more power, they explained.

The interlocutors of the portal urged the owners of “abandoned” smartphones not to panic and look for amateur versions of the “twelve” in thematic forums.

It should be noted that all these models were originally on Xiaomi’s waiting list for MIUI 12.

Previously, Xiaomi through its twitter channel spoke about the distribution dynamics of MIUI 12. You can see the list published by the company here.
