On December 8, employees of the National Anti-Corruption Office and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office stopped another attempt to bribe the head of the State Property Fund, Dmitry Sennichenko. The NABU press service reported on this.

According to the investigation, a former employee of the Nikolayevoblenergo joint-stock company (70% of the shares belong to the state) offered Sennichenko $ 100,000 for the appointment as director of the board of directors of Nikolayevoblenergo.

“He planned to transfer the money in two parts: $ 50 thousand – before, the rest – after the appointment. Encouraging the head of the SPFU to accept his offer, the former official promised him, after the appointment, to provide him with inappropriate monthly benefits of $ 200 thousand as part of the “shadow” income received on his position “- said in the statement.

Detectives began their investigation at Sennichenko’s request. This is the third recorded attempt to bribe the head of the SPF, the NABU stressed.

Sennichenko said on Facebook that today’s case confirms that “corruption is eating up state-owned companies from within.”

“Today, just on my birthday, a very clever gentleman decided to give me a” gift “: $ 100 thousand for the job as director of Nikolayevoblenergo JSC. Not a bad gift, is it? of $ 50 thousand, Mr. To the NABU detectives who just visited me to “congratulate” me on the “gift.” The poor thing probably didn’t understand how I repeatedly emphasize publicly the intolerance of corruption in the Foundation. Who is guilty I was not convincing enough, when did you publicly state the first two attempts to give me a bribe and pass this information on to NABU? “he wrote.

In january Sennichenko was offered $ 5 million Illegal profits in exchange for the appointment of a director of the OJSC “Odessa Port Plant” (99.5% of the shares belong to the state) of a predetermined person. NABU then detained those involved.
