The Defense Ministry of Ukraine believes that the editor-in-chief of the publication “Censor.NET” Yuriy Butusov could be involved in the areas of weapons or logistics in the Ukrainian army.
The Defense Ministry of Ukraine has offered Yuri Butusov, editor-in-chief of the Censor.NET edition, to fill one of the ministerial posts. The defense department press service announced it on December 8 on Facebook.
“The scale of public attention to reforms in the defense sector corresponds to the scale of these changes. The scale of criticism of the processes of the Ministry of Defense is proportional to the scale of these processes. One of the leading experts intransigent of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is Yuriy Butusov. Someone may consider his journalistic material to be biased, manipulative, Someone may question the author’s competence, the reliability of his sources and the validity of his conclusions. One thing that cannot be denying is indifference ”, says the message.
The ministry noted that “when it comes to a constructive position, it inspires respect.”
“Critical sentiment does not preclude cooperation and the search for common ground. The Ministry of Defense offers Yuri Butusov to occupy one of the ministerial positions in the areas on which his professional attention is focused. These may be, for example, weapons or logistics areas, “says the department.
The Ministry of Defense also added that “for an active citizen there is always the opportunity to go from theory to practice, from the position of external mentor to an official willing to demonstrate in practice the value of his knowledge and words.”
The journalist has not yet responded to the Defense Department’s proposal.
Butusov on his Facebook page regularly posts articles about the situation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the hostilities in Donbass.
