Russian President Vladimir Putin is under the illusion that Turkey will one day recognize Crimea as Russian.
The deputy general manager of the ATR television channel, Crimean Tatar journalist Ayder Muzhdabaev, said this in a comment to Telegraph. That is why he commented on the statement of the press secretary of the head of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, that they will continue to “patiently and consistently bring” to this country their position on the alleged membership of the Russians from the occupied Ukrainian peninsula.
“Ukraine must do everything possible to consolidate the West around it on the issue of Crimea. from there the Russian aggression began… There is the root of the problems, not only in Ukraine, but also around the world “– said the journalist.
In his opinion, Turkey will never recognize the Crimean peninsula as Russian. At the same time, Muzhdabaev believes that his liberation of the peninsula of the occupation only possible “destroying Putin’s Russia”… And only as a result of the common actions of Ukraine and the collective West.
“Unfortunately, Ukraine itself has not yet done even the most elementary things. Under hated authorities, the same has not been done – the status of the indigenous peoples of the Crimean Tatars is not recognized… Apart from the deep xenophobia, I cannot find any other explanations. ” Said a journalist.
He noted that the Crimean Tatars are one of the most important tools to return the peninsula on the diplomatic front. But even today there are those in power in Ukraine who say, supposedly, “The Crimean Tatars are Turks, they will bring Crimea to Turkey.”
“This is nonsense, which was invented in the reign of Catherine II. But it is being replicated to this day. The idea is idiotic, illogical … But in stupid heads, even at the level of the leadership of the country, it still remains. catastrophically affects the fight for Crimea“, – summed up Muzhdabaev.
