The deceased’s name was Evgeny Vladimirovich Golubev, he was 27 years old (born on 03/01/1993), had Ukrainian citizenship, lived in the Sumy region, had problems with the law. In particular, local law enforcement officers reported that the man had appeared in several criminal cases, charged with vandalism and theft.
The Ukrainian used to go to his friends in the Belgorod region, on the border with Ukraine, where he repeatedly organized parties on the lakes for lovers of fishing.
Ukrainian law enforcement officers drew attention to the fact that representatives of the Russian Federal Security Service killed a civilian and did not show any evidence of his aggressive actions during the arrest.
The source believes that the victim could not have had a weapon with him, and the Ukrainian national, of Russian nationality, became an accidental victim of the border guards.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, after a meeting on December 4 with representatives of the border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, reported that the Russian side did not provide evidence of violation of its border by Ukraine.
