The SBU disclosed the details of the treason case at Ukroboronprom

The management of state-owned companies is suspected of disrupting various international contracts and creating conditions for entering the arms market not for Ukrainian products, but for competing countries.

Ukraine’s Security Service reported that since August this year a pre-trial investigation has been carried out in the treason case at Ukroboronprom. On Monday, December 7, the SBU press service revealed the details of the investigation.

It is observed that one of the episodes of the criminal process is the study of the information published by the Internet Censor publication. The author of the article drew attention to Ukraine’s loss of markets for the sale of domestic products as a result of the attraction of foreign business structures affiliated with officials of the Ukroboronprom State Corporation and the Ukrspetsexport State Corporation.

In the course of the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the domestic special exporter attracted the company R. to military-technical cooperation with the South Asian country. Despite the presence of direct warnings and the presence of a negative image in the arms trade market, this company participated in both existing contracts and pre-contract negotiations. they were in the final stage.

The SBU noted that, according to preliminary data, official information was transferred to representatives of a foreign company, which contains trade secrets about the status of military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and one of the South Asian countries, the terms of possible foreign economic contracts, negotiations, etc.

“The materials available from the Security Service of Ukraine indicate that, as a result of the participation of the company R, the conclusion of several strategic contracts was interrupted and the conditions for the entry into the market of weapons not of Ukrainian products were created, but from competing countries. They deliberately concealed and ignored letters from foreign state-owned companies, which testified to the negative reputation of company R and the lack of convenience of cooperation with it, “the message says.

At the same time, the SBU noted that the officials of the Ukroboronprom Group of Companies and the Ukrspetsexport Group of Companies involved in the implementation of these contracts, as well as the R companies, are related parties, since before being appointed to positions in the entity state and the company, worked together in the specified commercial structure.

In total, as a result of the subversive activities of the officials of the Ukroboronprom State Corporation, Ukrspetsexport State Corporation and R Company, the damage to the state lies in the reduction of Ukraine’s military-technical cooperation with a foreign partner. at the same time, the Russian Federation intends to take advantage of this, which in turn represents a threat to the national security of Ukraine “- stressed in the SBU.

In this regard, on December 3, a series of searches were carried out at Ukroboronprom and Ukrspetsexport. At the moment, investigative actions are ongoing.

Let us remind you that on December 4, Ukroboronprom reported on searches conducted by the SBU in connection with the implementation of foreign economic contracts in which Ukrspetsexport participates.

The service explained that the investigative actions are under the treason article and refer to contracts for around $ 100 million.

In turn, Ukrspetsexport considers the SBU case under the treason clause as interference and intends to require a forensic examination.
