As Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, the timing of the opening of the Schengen borders for Ukrainian citizens is not associated with vaccination against COVID-19, but only with general statistics on the coronavirus.

“This is not a universal vaccination issue, but this issue will certainly mean a significant decrease in numbers in Ukraine and EU countries,” Kuleba explained.

At the same time, the official pointed out that the Ukrainians and in addition to the EU have a place to go. He recalled 63 countries where Ukrainians continue to enter in pandemic conditions, of which ten are in Europe.
