In Ukraine, 8641 new cases of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 were detected. During the last day, most of the infections were registered in the Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa regions.
Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov announced this on his Facebook page.
In particular, 33,502 tests for coronavirus were carried out yesterday (by PCR – 27,881, ELISA – 5,621).
In addition, during the last day, 145 people died and 5,123 recovered. Since the start of the pandemic, 821,947 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the country, of which 423,704 have been recovered.
The situation with the virus is difficult in the regions of Kiev (+1526), Dnepropetrovsk (+960), Odessa (+662), Kiev (+635) and Sumy (+477).
Earlier, the Chief Medical Officer, Viktor Lyashko, said that in 2021 Ukraine plans to vaccinate half the population against the coronavirus. They are almost 21 million people.
In addition, the details of the strict quarantine were known in January in Ukraine. Schools, restaurants and gyms are scheduled to close next month. At the same time, ski resorts and churches will operate.
