Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the fighters on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and presented them with state awards and valuable gifts. This was announced by the Office of the President.
On December 6, Ukraine Armed Forces Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with military personnel in the area of the Joint Forces operation in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Zelensky examined the fighting positions and got acquainted with the conditions of service, honored the fallen heroes in the alley of symbolic memory. The president congratulated the military on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, presented them with state awards and valuable gifts, according to the report.
“I want to thank all Ukrainians for protecting our lives. Take care, you are heroes. I am grateful to you,” Zelensky said.
The soldiers presented the president with an installation made up of fragments of enemy artillery shells.
The Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was established in 1993 and is celebrated on December 6.
In early 2014, after the power blockade of the Ukrainian military units and illegal referendum Russia annexed Ukrainian Crimea.
