During protests against the law on criminal penalties for distributing photos and videos with police, protesters smashed the windows of a supermarket, real estate agency and bank. They also threw firecrackers, stones and other objects at the police.

Staff responded with tear gas.

Police said that in Paris on Saturday, December 5, 5,000 people participated in the protests. In total, around 52.3 thousand people marched across the country, which is significantly less than a week ago. Then, in Paris alone, 46 thousand people participated in the actions, and in the country, 133 thousand.

It should be noted that according to the “global security” bill, it is proposed to sanction one year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros for distributing materials with law enforcement officials.
