Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on the exchange of prisoners according to the principle of “all for all”. RIA Novosti reports on this with reference to the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

In his words, the exchange will include everyone who was taken prisoner before the recent battles in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Pashinyan called the search for missing compatriots another important task.

It was previously reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan exchanged lists of prisoners and missing military and civilians. The parties transferred the lists of their citizens to the International Committee of the Red Cross for the subsequent mutual return of persons.

On December 3, Azerbaijan published official data on its military losses: they amounted to 2,783 dead. The Armenian side announced around 2,260 soldiers killed.

On November 9, Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan adopted a joint declaration on a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the terms of the document, the warring parties remained in the positions they occupied during the battles. Until December 1, three more districts were under Baku’s control: Lachin, Gazakh and Kelbajar. Russian peacekeepers will be stationed along the line of contact and the corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia.
