The Verkhovna Rada approved today, December 4, a bill to support small and medium-sized businesses during the period of quarantine restrictions.

The bill № 4429 was supported by 297 parliamentarians. According to this document, it is supposed to provide one-time material assistance to people with insurance, who may lose income in whole or in part in case of tightening of quarantine measures. Payments are supposed to be made at the expense of budget funds.

The amount of such payment is 8 thousand hryvnia. It also provides for one-time cash assistance payments to companies to preserve employee jobs.

Catering entrepreneurs will be able to receive state control during the quarantine period, as well as within six months after its completion.

Leases for the quarantine period, as well as for one month after their termination, continue even if they are actually completed. The same scheme will not be able to collect the rent.

Payments will not receive:

  • Employees who have not received a single contribution to social security for the third quarter of 2020, who receive a salary of more than 30 thousand hryvnia per month and work part-time.
  • Individual entrepreneurs with state registration and ERU payment is less than three months.
  • Subjects that have arrears in the unified social contribution at the time of the entry into force of the law.

Previously, Vgorode reported that President Vladimir Zelensky in his video message promised to financially support businessmen affected by the quarantine.
