The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) confirmed the unification of three cases against Russia in connection with the Donbass events. This is reported by Evropeyskaya Pravda on Friday, December 4.

“The press service of the court confirmed that on November 27 the Grand Chamber of the ECHR decided to unite the” Donbass case “Ukraine against Russia (case 8019/16) other two interstate cases – Ukraine against Russia No. 43800/14 in relationship with children from state institutions, who were illegally exported to Russia at the beginning of the war, as well as the case of Holland v. Then the Ministry of Justice said that this decision could have positive consequences for Ukraine, but at the same time delay the consideration of the case as a whole.

Now the ECHR explained that this decision was made in accordance with the rules of the court “in the interest of the effective administration of justice.”

The court noted that in the near future it will determine the additional procedure in the case.

Now the case is called Ukraine and Holland against Russia us. 43800/14, 8019/16 and 28525/20.

The ECHR noted that, in addition to this joint case, there are now three more interstate complaints and more than 7,000 individual complaints in court regarding the events in Crimea, eastern Ukraine and the Sea of ​​Azov.
