The blogger threatened not only the researcher, but also her family
A well-known blogger and television presenter sent threatening messages to the investigator, who reported suspicions of vandalism to her husband. Now the blogger herself was informed of the suspicion.
The Kiev region police denounced the suspicion of a well-known blogger for interfering in the activities of a law enforcement officer. The woman persecuted the investigator for two months, intimidating and threatening her, the Kiev region police said on their Facebook page.
“Using her advertising on social media, she tried to ‘intimidate’ a police officer into making a ‘positive’ decision in the criminal proceedings against her husband,” the message says.
Law enforcement officials note that the investigator during the pre-trial investigation collected sufficient evidence and, following procedural guidance from the prosecutor’s office, reported the suspicion to a 32-year-old resident of the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district under Part 4 of art. 296 (vandalism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
When the suspect’s 31-year-old wife, who happened to be a prominent and well-known blogger, found out about this, she decided not to let the investigator do his job. The woman threatened the policeman and scared her with her “magical powers.”
After that, the blogger launched another attack on the researcher, sending her messages, text and voice, threatening her and her family. The messages also contained obscene language.
“Now the woman has been informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 343 (Interference in the activities of a law enforcement officer, forensic expert, employee of the state executive service, private executor) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” said the Kiev region police.
The sanction of the article provides for a punishment in the form of a fine of up to one hundred minimum tax-free income of citizens or correctional work for up to one year, or arrest for up to three months.
