The Verkhovna Rada registered today, December 3, the third bill on the renewal of liability for inaccurate declaration. The initiators of the document are the head of the parliamentary law enforcement commission Denis Monastyrsky and a group of other people’s deputies.
The text of the corresponding project with the number 4460-d is published on the website of the City Council.
The people’s deputies propose to reform article 172-6 of the Administrative Code, which would clarify the subjects of this crime and would allow a fine to be imposed on the offender in the amount of 100 to 500 minimum non-taxable, and not 100 to 250, as indicated in the current version of the law. These changes will raise the threshold of liability for lying on the return.
It is also proposed to eliminate article 366-1 of the Penal Code and replace it with article 366-2. This article provides for criminal liability for inaccurate declaration for the amount of 500 to 4 thousand living wage in the form of a fine or community service up to 240 hours with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or perform certain activities for 3 years.
If the official hides the amount more than 4 thousand living wage, then you will face a fine of 3 to 5 thousand minimums free of taxes or community service up to 240 hours with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for 3 years.
In addition, the document provides for the inclusion in the Criminal Code of article 366-3, which will provide responsibility for the deliberate failure to present a statement in the form of a fine of 2,500 to 3,000 non-taxable minimums or community service up to 240 hours with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or perform certain activities for 3 years.
The draft states that cases under these articles will be indicted in the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, and NABU detectives will investigate these crimes.
We recall, before that, that the parliament registered a bill on the restoration of responsibility for lying in statements, which was drawn up by the working group.
In addition, another bill on declarations has been registered in the Rada. It was proposed by President Vladimir Zelensky.
