The deputies of the Kiev City Council elected Volodymyr Bondarenko from the UDAR party to the post of Deputy Mayor – Secretary of the Kiev City Council. His candidacy obtained 114 votes, the press service of the Kiev City Council reported on Thursday, December 3.
“I will do my best so that the city council can work in a stable and efficient manner. I will continue the work of my predecessor Vladimir Prokopiv – to make the Kiev city hall open to the people, more transparent and closer,” Bondarenko said.
In addition, the newly elected secretary of the Kiev City Council assured him of his objectivity and impartiality when making decisions and organizing work.
“Even though I am elected from a political force, I can promise that I will be as equidistant as possible and at the same time close to all factions. After all, the secretary of the Kiev City Council is an assistant to every deputy in this room. sessions, this is an effective manager that I promise to be. ” – he is stressed.
Vladimir Bondarenko was born on January 26, 1985 in Kiev. He has a higher legal education. He began his career in 2003 as a technical worker at the No. 61 Secondary School of the Shevchenko district of Kiev.
In 2007-2013 he was an assistant to Vitali Klitschko at the Kiev City Council. In 2012, during the parliamentary elections, he ran as a people’s deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation of the UDAR political party. In 2013-2014, he was Vitali Klitschko’s assistant in parliament. From 2014 to 2017 he worked as Chief of Staff of the Kyiv City State Administration. Most recently, he was advisor to the mayor of Kiev and secretary to Headquarters for eliminating the consequences of an emergency.
As a reminder, according to the results of the local elections on October 25, seven parties went to the Kiev City Council. The winners were European Solidarity (20.52% – 31 mandates) and UDAR (19.98% – 30 mandates).
In addition, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, won in the first round of the mayoral elections. 364,683 voters, or 50.5% of those who participated in the vote, voted for him.
