The introduction of a blockade in Ukraine depends on the workload of hospital beds. When between 35 and 40 thousand hospital beds are occupied in Ukraine’s hospitals, the government will have to tighten the restrictions.
This was stated by the head of the parliamentary commission on the nation’s health, medical care and health insurance Mykhailo Radutsky on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24.
As of today, according to Radutsky, in Ukrainian hospitals, the workload of beds is about 27 to 28 thousand, which is almost half of available hospital beds.
“If this load on the beds grows, if the number is 35-40 thousand, then a lock must be introduced, because the system will not support it,” he explained.
The popular deputy said that the closure will allow the return of the offices to remote work, the prohibition of the operation of the shopping and entertainment center and the holding of mass events, as well as the restriction of the number of people during events on the street.
“With regard to transport: it does not make sense to close international traffic, because the blockade will reduce the concentration of people. But transport must be closed, except for service, so that people can get to work,” Radutsky added.
We will remember, recently, the NSDC announced that a 100% lockdown will be introduced in Ukraine. However, there is no exact date for the tightening of the restrictions.
Furthermore, this week, the workload of hospital beds in Ukraine again exceeded 50%. The most tense situation is in the Poltava, Nikolaev and Zaporozhye regions.
