Almost 60% of Ukrainians support the introduction of a blockade during the holidays
In two weeks, the number of Ukrainians supporting a full shutdown has risen from 36% to 42%. At the same time, almost 60% support the introduction of a strict quarantine for the New Year holidays.
Two weeks ago, there were 36% supporters of strict quarantine, and now it is 42%. This is evidenced by the Sociological Group Rating survey data.
At the same time, the number of opponents of strict quarantine decreased from 61% to 55%. The number of respondents also increased (from 55 to 58%) who believe that the spread of the coronavirus will decrease as a result of the lockdown. At the same time, 58% support the introduction of a block for the New Year holidays (40% are against).
Over the past two weeks, the level of support for the weekend quarantine has dropped from 49 to 44% (the number of opponents has increased from 49 to 54%). Only 34% expect that as a result of its introduction, the spread of the coronavirus will decrease, but 64% do not agree with this.
The survey was conducted by Sociological Group Rating from November 28 to 30, 2020 among 2,500 respondents throughout Ukraine, with the exception of the Russian-occupied territories. Interview method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview – telephone interviews using a computer). Research representativeness error: not more than 2.0%.
On the eve of the media reported that strict quarantine will be introduced from December 23 to January 15, and this will be reported on Wednesday.
The Verkhovna Rada reported that the decision on the closure will be made before the end of the week after Stepanov’s report.
