One of the leaders of the First League, the football club Gornyak-Sport de Horishni Plavnya, announced the termination of contracts with all players and the coaching staff.
All players have received free agent status, reports the club’s official website.
Gornyak-Sport president Petr Kaplun held a meeting with the players and coaches, where he said that the club had not received funding for the second half of the championship and now the team’s participation in the First League is a “big question” .
Gornyak-Sport is one of the leaders of the Primera Liga and, according to the results of the first part of the season, occupies the fourth place in the standings, aiming to move up. It should be noted that the top three clubs in the First League at the end of the season will receive tickets for the Ukrainian Premier League.
It was reported that in 2019 the Dnipro football club ceased to exist, which in 2015 reached the final of the Europa League.
