The Defense Ministry of Ukraine has acquired military items through the NATO supply and support agency. This was the first direct purchase without intermediaries.

About that reported in the press service of Ukraine’s mission to NATO.

The mission congratulated the Ministry of Defense for its independent entry into international and competitive markets.

“The first in the history of the Ministry of Defense, the purchase of military goods without intermediaries through the NATO agency for support and supplies for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has ended,” the statement said.

Let us remind you that in September, the Ministry of Defense began to work on the Military Security Strategy, which aims to join the action plan for NATO membership.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the only alternative to provide Ukraine with a Membership Action Plan is NATO membership.

At the same time, the US Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine, Christina Queen, mentioned the main challenges for Ukraine on the path to NATO integration. This is Russian aggression and the fight against corruption.

Note that the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Georgia were invited to a NATO online meeting on December 2, where they will discuss security issues in the Black Sea region.
